I was so excited to work with my old pals Nico and Lala on the invitation. Here is the invitation. Love their sense of humor with the "get lit" theme! We encouraged people to donate to charities instead of bringing gifts - but many of our silly friends did both (lucky us!).
In addition to the invitation, the gals at Nico and Lala created all kinds of fun swag for the party. Here are some of the fun elements:
And of course the house is all decorated for Christmas which meant that we didn't need to do a lot of other decor but I did sneak in a few flower arrangements.
After years of planning parties for others, I decided to pull the trigger and hire my favorite caterer for this party. Design Cuisine is the absolute BEST and created two amazing buffet stations. In the kitchen on our large island, we asked them to do an Italian inspired picnic. There were all kinds of antipasta, grilled veggies, tapenades, a sausage and spinach stromboli, mushroom tarts, lots of breads and marinated olives and the most amazing seafood salad EVER. Super delicious all around. Check it out...
In the dining room, we set up a dessert buffet that included Christmas cookies, brownies, bliss bars, rice krispie treats, blondies and candy. Nico and Lala created these cute labels to put on take away boxes. We made everyone fill up one or two to take home with them. They were a big hit!
Here are some shots of the decor in the house!
What a great way to ring in our new decade! We consider ourselves VERY lucky to have shared this great night with so many people we love. Next year...even bigger and better!!!
